FBI Ranks Cape Coral One Of Florida's Safest Cities

09/20/2013

The FBI has ranked Cape Coral as one of Florida's safest cities in 2012.

Over the years, Cape Coral has consistently ranked among the top larger cities in Florida regarding its lack of violent and non-violent crimes.

2012 proved to be no different from previous years according to the latest annual Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) report.

In the latest report, Cape Coral only fell behind Port St. Lucie, who garnered the number one ranking of safest Florida cities with a population over 150,000.

The annual report ranks cities based on violent and non-violent crimes. In comparison to 2012, Cape Coral saw a decrease in both violent (-3%) and non-violent crimes (-12%). According to this year’s report, Cape Coral holds the distinction of being the state’s safest 150,000+ population city in Florida in regards to violent crimes. In 2012, Cape Coral reported 229 cases of violent crimes.

The report is more good news for Cape Coral Fl. Low crime and rising property values are making Cape Coral a great place to live or own a second home. Judging from the active real estate market, the word is getting out.
